Amman, June 9 (Petra) -- The Jordan Medical Council has launched a new phase of its digital transformation strategy, introducing a package of technology-driven projects aimed at modernizing specialist medical training, improving institutional efficiency and strengthening governance across its operations.

The initiative marks a significant step in the council's efforts to digitize key processes and build an integrated technological infrastructure capable of supporting the evolving needs of medical education and professional training.

Secretary-General of the council Manar Al-Lawama said the program follows the renewal of the council's partnership agreement with Integrated Chain Company, signed last week by the company's chief executive officer, Osama Al-Damour.

Speaking to Petra, Al-Lawama said the new projects are designed to enhance the quality of training and evaluation processes while streamlining administrative procedures and improving access to data and performance indicators.

The digital transformation package includes the development of an electronic certification system, a platform for accrediting training centers and programs, an electronic logbook system for documenting medical procedures and operations, and a digital platform for monitoring training progress.

The projects also encompass systems for managing scientific committees, electronic archiving, beneficiary satisfaction measurement and surveys, in addition to a comprehensive redevelopment of the council's website.

Al-Lawama said the initiatives form part of a broader vision to establish a fully integrated digital ecosystem that supports trainees, scientific committees and healthcare institutions while enhancing transparency and operational effectiveness.

She noted that the systems will provide accurate and timely data to support decision-making processes and continuous institutional development.

According to the council, the new digital infrastructure will serve as the foundation for future modernization projects and contribute to raising the efficiency of services provided to the healthcare sector.

The initiative is expected to improve the management of specialist medical training programs, facilitate accreditation procedures and strengthen oversight and quality assurance mechanisms.

Al-Lawama said the council remains committed to adopting advanced technological solutions that support medical education and specialist training while aligning institutional operations with evolving digital standards.

The latest move reflects growing momentum toward digital transformation within the healthcare sector, where technology is increasingly being used to enhance training quality, improve service delivery and support more efficient governance frameworks.
