Amman, June 25 (Petra) -- Environment Minister Ayman Suleiman on Thursday honored a group of students for their voluntary clean-up campaigns in Birket al-Arayes in Irbid and the Marka area in Amman.

Suleiman said the recognition follows HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II’s directives to support youth initiatives promoting cleanliness and volunteerism.

He praised the students for independently organizing and implementing the campaigns, describing their efforts as a model of initiative and environmental awareness, and a reflection of strong community responsibility.

Youth-led initiatives are key to environmental protection, the minister said, reaffirming the ministry’s support for volunteer work that promotes positive behavior and active citizenship.
