Amman, Oct. 30 (Petra)-- Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Sami Smirat, conducted a field tour to inspect progress on the construction of comprehensive government service centers in Ruseifa, Zarqa, and Mafraq, in addition to western and northern Amman.

According to a statement by the ministry on Thursday, Smirat was briefed on the stages of implementation and completion rates during his visits, accompanied by the ministry’s Secretary-General, Samira Al-Zoubi, Director of the Government Service Centers and User Journey Directorate, Dima Al-Nahar, as well as a number of officials and technical advisors.

Smirat emphasized the importance of completing the work within the set timeline and in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety to ensure that the centers are ready to provide comprehensive and efficient government services.

He noted that these centers aim to strengthen citizens’ trust in government institutions and improve their experience in completing transactions.

He pointed out that the establishment of these centers aligns with the government’s efforts to promote development across the governorates, enhance service quality, and ensure fair distribution. The centers are expected to begin operations gradually by the end of 2025.

Smirat added that the ministry continues to empower government service centers with the latest technologies and digital systems, supported by a highly trained and competent team that has contributed to achieving high citizen satisfaction rates. These centers, he said, serve as a model for efficient management and easy access to public services.

He further explained that the selection of the centers’ locations was based on precise criteria developed by a team from the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, ensuring accessibility, fair geographic distribution, and alignment with the Executive Program for the Economic Modernization Vision and the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap.

Smirat highlighted that the centers have proven their effectiveness through the quality of services provided and high levels of citizen satisfaction, reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to continuously improving the user experience and service delivery mechanisms to meet citizens’ needs with the highest standards of efficiency and professionalism.

It is worth noting that the nine operational centers have processed a total of 4,323,798 transactions and received around 1,740,612 visitors. The ministry aims to expand the number of centers to 15 by the end of 2025, as part of its plan to broaden service coverage and replicate the model across all governorates.
