Amman, Feb. 15 (Petra) – Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah and Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh on Sunday called for broad Italian participation in the upcoming Jordan-EU Investment Conference, scheduled to be held in the Kingdom next April.

During a meeting in Amman with President of the Joint Italian Arab Chamber of Commerce Pietro Paolo Rampino, alongside Italian business leaders and company representatives, the ministers stressed that the conference represents a key milestone in advancing Jordan’s economic partnership with the European Union and translating cooperation into concrete investment projects.

Qudah said the conference is among the most significant outcomes of the Jordan-EU Summit and reflects the diplomatic and economic efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to position Jordan as a reliable EU partner and a regional investment hub in high-potential strategic sectors.

He added that the government views the conference as an operational platform to launch sustainable, high-value partnerships, particularly in industry, energy, infrastructure, technology and services, urging Italian firms to capitalize on the opportunity and establish investment alliances with Jordanian counterparts.

For his part, Abu Ghazaleh underscored Jordan’s stable and competitive investment climate, supported by an advanced legislative and regulatory framework that ensures transparency and investor protection. He highlighted promising opportunities in transport, renewable energy, technology, water, value-added industries and public-private partnership (PPP) projects that offer long-term, sustainable returns.

Rampino affirmed the Chamber’s readiness to serve as a permanent institutional bridge between Italian companies and their Jordanian and Arab counterparts, facilitating partnerships that expand access to regional and African markets.

He noted that the Italian government has allocated approximately €4 billion to support Italian companies through the Chamber, within programs designed to strengthen their engagement in Arab markets and implement capacity-building initiatives in cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers.

Rampino said the funding mechanism provides a practical instrument to stimulate joint investments, promote knowledge transfer and enhance technical cooperation with the Jordanian private sector, within a structured framework that supports sustainable development and reconstruction efforts across the region.

He also invited Jordanian officials and business leaders to participate in the Arab-Italian Economic Forum, scheduled to be held in Milan at the end of March, and encouraged the formation of a Jordanian business delegation to further deepen bilateral trade and investment ties.
