Amman, July 14 (Petra) --The Ministry of Public Works and Housing has completed and handed over four newly built school projects in Amman, Jerash and Balqa governorates, with a combined cost of approximately JD 12.5 million. The ministry has also begun implementing 11 additional education projects during July, funded by the Royal Hashemite Court and the Regional Office of Foreign Assistance at the U.S. Embassy.

Ministry spokesperson Omar Maharmeh told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the completed projects include Al-Farwan Mixed Basic School in Jerash, Al-Zaatari Boys Basic School in Balqa, and Al-Hizam Mixed Secondary School and Hay Al-Thahiba Mixed Secondary School in Amman.

The schools were constructed with modern educational facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, administrative offices, service facilities, playgrounds and outdoor areas, in addition to the required electromechanical works, to provide students with suitable learning spaces.

Among the newly launched projects is Ibn Al-Anbari Boys Secondary School in Zarqa, which is being implemented with funding from the Royal Hashemite Court at a tender value of nearly JD 3 million. The ministry has also started 10 other school construction projects supported by the Regional Office of Foreign Assistance at the U.S. Embassy, covering schools in several locations, including Kafr Awan, Sakhra, Al-Fedain, Hay Al-Iskan, Asma bint Yazid, Bushra, Al-Hosn, Na’ima, the Fifth District and Princess Iman bint Al Hussein School.

The ministry said the projects are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen public education infrastructure, increase school capacity, replace rented or outdated facilities, and provide modern buildings that meet the needs of students across different regions of the Kingdom.
