Amman, Aug. 19 (Petra) -- Temperatures on Wednesday will be around their seasonal average for this time of year. The weather will be moderate in the highlands and plains, hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly to northeasterly moderate winds.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department's report, the Kingdom will be affected on Thursday by a hot air mass moving in from the Arabian Peninsula, causing a slight rise in temperatures. The weather will become hot in most areas and very hot in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Winds will be northeasterly moderate in speed, occasionally picking up, particularly in the Badia.

On Friday, temperatures will rise slightly further, with hot weather prevailing in most areas and very hot conditions in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will be northeasterly moderate in speed and may stir up dust in the Badia.

Hot weather will persist on Saturday in most areas, with very hot conditions in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and Aqaba. Winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly moderate in speed.

Today, temperatures in eastern Amman will range between a high of 34 C and a low of 21 C, while western Amman will see 32 C and 19 C, respectively. Temperatures in the northern highlands will range between 30 C and 18 C, the Sharah Mountains between 31 C and 19 C. In the northern Jordan Valley, temperatures will range between 41 C and 26 C, the Dead Sea between 41 C and 27 C, and Aqaba between 40 C and 27 C.
