Mutah University Academic Receives 2026 Thought Leader Award

Karak, Sept. 17 (Petra) -- Dr. Nour Al-Din Shqairat, an academic at the Mutah University, has received the "2026 Thought Leader" award at the Stevie Awards, in recognition of his contributions to thought leadership, innovation, education and scientific research.

According to a university statement issued Thursday, Shqairat received the award during the Stevie Awards ceremony for the Middle East and North Africa, held in Istanbul, Türkiye. The ceremony brought together academic and professional figures to recognize achievements in several fields.

The award follows an academic and professional career spanning more than two decades. During this period, Shqairat contributed to international research and development projects and initiatives and took part in scientific and academic activities in the United States, United Kingdom, Türkiye and Italy.

The award adds to his international honors, including the 2024 International Award for Outstanding Leadership in Health Sciences Education, presented in Dubai. His work has brought together education, scientific research and innovation, with activities extending beyond Jordan.

The recognition also highlights Mutah University’s participation in international academic forums and the work of its academic staff in knowledge production, research and innovation, exchange of expertise, and strengthening the university’s presence in regional and international academic and research circles.
