NEPCO Fully Prepared to Meet Winter Power Demand - Director General

Amman, Oct. 22 (Petra) Director General of the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) Sufyan Al-Batayneh affirmed on Wednesday the company’s full readiness to meet expected electricity loads during the winter season.
He said the company has developed an integrated plan covering operational, technical, and logistical aspects to ensure the continuous and efficient supply of electricity across all regions of the Kingdom.
In a statement, Al-Batayneh said company teams at all work sites have completed preventive maintenance for substations and main transmission lines and verified the readiness of national monitoring and control systems to track power loads around the clock and handle any emergencies that may arise due to weather conditions during the winter.
He noted that the company has secured a strategic inventory of essential supplies, enhanced the readiness of emergency teams, and deployed them in the field to ensure rapid response to potential malfunctions. He also highlighted ongoing coordination with electricity distribution companies and relevant entities to maintain the highest levels of reliability within the national power system.
Al-Batayneh pointed out that the company has expanded its transmission network to meet growing loads and implemented its annual preventive maintenance programs for all network components in preparation for the winter season, which typically sees a steady increase in electricity demand.
