Amman, Feb. 13 (Petra)-- Temperatures are expected to rise significantly on Friday, reaching levels 6–7 Celsius above their seasonal averages, according to the Meteorological Department.

Weather conditions will be mild across most regions of the Kingdom, while warmer conditions are forecast in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Medium-level clouds are expected to appear, with southwesterly winds blowing at moderate speeds and becoming active at times.

By midday, wind speeds will intensify, with strong gusts ranging between 50–60 km/h. These winds are expected to stir up dust in many areas, leading to a marked reduction in horizontal visibility and, at times, near-zero visibility particularly on external highways.

On Saturday, temperatures will drop, though dusty conditions are expected to persist in several regions, especially in the southern and eastern parts of the country. The weather will be relatively cold in most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Light rain showers are possible during the morning hours in northern regions and limited parts of central Jordan. Winds will shift from southwesterly to westerly, remaining active with strong gusts that could again reach 50–60 km/h.

A noticeable rise in temperatures is forecast for Sunday, bringing mild conditions to most regions and warmer weather to the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be southeasterly and moderate in speed.

Temperatures are expected to continue rising on Monday. Conditions will be relatively warm across most regions and warmer in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with high-level clouds appearing. Winds will be southeasterly, ranging from moderate to occasionally active, and may stir up dust, particularly in desert areas.

Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high of 19 degrees Celsius and a low of 9 degrees.

Highs in the port city of Aqaba will reach 29 degrees during the day, sliding to 15 degrees at night.
