Karak, Sept. 15 (Petra) - The Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) allocated nearly JD1 million on Tuesday to enhance healthcare services across Karak, funding advanced equipment and facility modernization at Karak Governmental Hospital.

The grant will equip the hospital with a modern CT scanner, 100 electric beds, and a flexible laryngoscope while backing facility renovations via the Karak Development Corporation.

Additionally, the initiative backs the National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Genetics (NCDEG) to establish a new branch at Mutah University.

JPMC Chairman Mohammad Thneibat and Karak Governor Qablan Sharif visited the hospital.

Thneibat said the grant aligns with JPMC’s corporate social responsibility mission to meet critical local needs and elevate patient care.

Karak Governmental Hospital Director Ali Sarairah and Sharif hailed the contribution, stating that the modern equipment and structural improvements will boost local clinical capacity and minimize out-of-governorate medical referrals.
