Amman, March 12 (Petra) -- An explosive device fell in Ruseifa’s 30th Street area shortly after midnight, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said Thursday, with no injuries reported.

The PSD media spokesperson said the operations room of the Ruseifa Police Directorate received a report about the incident, noting that specialized security teams immediately responded to the site and handled it in accordance with established safety procedures.

He expressed regret over the large and unjustified gathering of citizens at the scene despite repeated warnings against approaching such dangerous objects under any circumstances, stressing that such behavior poses a direct threat to public safety.

The spokesperson said the crowd hindered the work of the competent authorities while they were dealing with the explosive device.

He reiterated the call for the public to refrain from approaching or gathering at incident sites, warning that violators will face legal accountability due to the serious risks such actions pose to their own safety and the safety of others.
