Amman, Apr. 3 (Petra)-- The Electricity Distribution Company confirmed that its emergency teams responded immediately to a power outage affecting areas in the Northern Jordan Valley.
The company said that around 5,000 customers were impacted. Technical crews began work from the first moment to restore electricity service as quickly as possible.
In a press statement issued today, the company said power had been restored to approximately 90% of affected customers within a short period. However, outages persist in the areas of Mukhayba Al-Tahta and Mukhayba Al-Foqa due to the need for additional technical work to ensure network stability and the safety of electricity supply.
The company added that efforts are currently underway to clear the road leading to these areas using bulldozers, enabling technical teams to access the sites and fix the fault.
Emergency teams continue field operations to restore power to the remaining affected areas, with full service expected to be reinstated within approximately two hours. The company reaffirmed its readiness to respond to any emergencies and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to customers.
