Princess Basma bint Talal delivers Ramadan aid to Amman's Jabal Al-Naser area

Amman, Feb. 24 (Petra) – Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal, Chairperson of the Higher Committee of the Charity and Benevolence Campaign in Jordan, on Tuesday delivered the campaign's aid as part of its Ramadan activities to target groups in Amman's Jabal Al-Naser area.

At the headquarters of the area's Prince Hassan Camp Services Committee, which was built through a generous royal grant, Her Royal Highness handed over the campaign's support to 5 women to develop their income-generating projects and back 10 university students enrolled in majors that align with the job market.

In a ceremony at Yarub Development Charity Association, Her Royal Highness presented the campaign's support to equip its productive kitchen with equipment and supplies to develop the association's culinary facility, which provides employment opportunities for 4 women.

This effort will enable the kitchen to expand its services and increase its revenue to help fund the development programs implemented by the association for its targeted groups.

The campaign also delivered supplies for Ramadan meals, which the kitchen will prepare and distribute to 100 families in Al-Naser camp area.

During the aid distribution, Her Highness praised the women, who own home-based production projects and their determination to overcome challenges under innovative ideas that benefit their families and the local community.

Her Highness noted the campaign's commitment to supporting its partners by providing opportunities for the success and sustainability of these types of projects and equipping women with the necessary skills to manage and market their products, which would contribute to achieving economic and social development.

Her Highness stated the campaign's efforts and its partners reflect its commitment to strengthening and promoting values of social solidarity and mutual support, and providing opportunities for success and sustainability of productive entrepreneurial projects, especially women-run enterprises.

Her Highness noted this commitment is "rooted" in the campaign's appreciation for the women's role and mission in society and the development process.
