Princess Basma delivers food parcels, student aid, and micro-grants in Karak

Karak, Sept. 16 (Petra) - President of the Higher Committee of the Goodwill Campaign HRH Princess Basma Bint Talal distributed humanitarian aid and economic support to local families in Karak on Wednesday.

The Princess handed out food packages to 100 female-led families and school bags to 100 local children attending summer camp at the Princess Basma Center in Karak, joined by Karak Governor Qablan Sharif and Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development's (JOHUD) Executive Director Farah Daghistani.

To promote self-reliance, the campaign also provided financial support to nine women to expand small-scale income-generating projects.

The Princess also presented university scholarships to local students enrolled in degree programs aligned with current labor market needs.

The Goodwill Campaign bridges immediate aid and long-term development, according to the Princess, utilizing JOHUD's network of 52 centers to provide local women and youth with job skills, entrepreneurship tools, and market reach.

During her visit, Princess Basma met with community leaders involved in local water conservation initiatives in Al Yarut, hailing local women for driving water conservation initiatives.

She also oversaw youth-led development programs across the governorate, including local environmental clubs, employment initiatives, and community media work via Farah Al Nas Radio.
