Amman, January 20 (Petra) – Under patronage of Princess Karma bint Abbas, "Harir" initiative held "Hope Mural" event on Tuesday, with participation of approximately 35 children from Gaza and children with cancer.
On its goals, this humanitarian activity aimed to support the children's mental health and freely express their feelings and release their positive energy through art and drawing engagements.
The Princess's presence provided "significant" moral support to the participating children and sent a clear message emphasizing the importance of providing care for children's mental health, especially groups experiencing exceptional humanitarian and health circumstances, which would contribute to strengthening their sense of security and hope.
Talking at the activity, Nihad Dabbas, Director General of "Harir" Initiative, stated the event was launched in 2018 and has involved approximately 11,000 children over the years.
At its inception, the event formed the largest "Hope Mural" in the Middle East and has continued for many years due to its "tangible" impact on supporting children's mental health.
"The initiative believes art is a healing tool, while hope is an inherent right for every child, underscoring commitment to continuing these humanitarian initiatives that leave a real impact on children's lives, especially given the challenges and difficult circumstances they face," he pointed out.
