Amman, April 8 (Petra) – The Public Security Directorate's (PSD) Criminal Investigation Department said on Wednesday that a video circulating online of a person assaulting another after placing him in a vehicle's trunk was "a staged scene," according to the Directorate's media spokesperson.

An examination of the footage led to the identification and arrest of the two individuals, who had staged the scene and posted it on social media to gain views and followers.

Other footage was also obtained, in which they admitted to their action, he said, adding that they will be referred to the Public Prosecutor.
