Amman, April 12 (Petra) -- Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abul Samen directed officials on Sunday to immediately address challenges hindering projects under the Economic Modernization Vision’s executive program (2026-2029).

During a meeting at the ministry’s headquarters, Abul Samen emphasized the need to ensure work continuity without delays to meet targets within specified timeframes. The session included the Director General of the Government Tenders Department, the Ministry’s Secretary General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and relevant department heads.

The meeting reviewed achievement rates for projects in the program's second phase and identified key obstacles to implementation. Abul Samen stressed the importance of adhering to schedules and improving coordination between ministry units and partner entities to accelerate the pace of work.

The Minister highlighted the necessity of direct monitoring for performance indicators, aligning with government directives to fast-track infrastructure and housing projects. He noted that these efforts are essential to delivering a tangible impact on the quality of services provided to citizens.

Furthermore, Abul Samen underlined the importance of full integration with the Government Performance Monitoring Unit at the Prime Ministry. This ensures the accuracy of progress reports and their alignment with the broader strategic goals of the Economic Modernization Vision.

This meeting is part of a series of periodic reviews conducted by the ministry to oversee strategic projects and ensure developmental goals in the public works and housing sectors are met successfully.
