Queen Alia International AirportRecords Strong Growth in 2025

Amman, January 26 (Petra) -- The Airport International Group (AIG), operator of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), announced on Monday that passenger traffic and performance indicators for December, capping a record year for the Kingdom's main airport and reinforcing its role as a growing regional aviation and connectivity hub.

The airport handled 868,622 passengers in December, bringing total passenger traffic in 2025 to 9,789,851, marking an 11.27% annual increase.

Aircraft movements reached 7,316 in December, totaling 80,565 for the year, up 9.81%.

Air cargo handled 5,533 tons in December, bringing the annual total to 69,770 tons, reflecting a slight 7.53% decline, compared to the previous year, amid regional and international factors.

Dubai topped passenger destinations, followed by Jeddah, Cairo, Riyadh and Istanbul, reflecting the airport's balanced regional and international connectivity.

Royal Jordanian Airlines led in flight operations, followed by Flynas, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and Emirates.

AIG's CEO Nicolas Devillier said the strong performance reflects passengers’ and airlines' confidence in QAIA and Jordan as a destination and regional hub.

Devillier added that sustainable growth in passengers and aircraft movements, alongside network expansion, is the result of the group's long-term strategy to enhance connectivity, operational efficiency and the overall passenger experience.
