Relatively Hot Weather Forecast Across Most Regions Thursday, Cooling Expected Friday

Amman, July 23 (Petra) -- Relatively hot weather is expected to prevail across most parts of the Kingdom on Thursday, while hot to very hot conditions will persist in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Winds will be moderate northwesterlies, picking up at times.

On Friday, temperatures will drop slightly, bringing typical summer conditions to most regions, while remaining hot in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate northwesterly winds occasionally becoming active.

A further minor decline in temperatures is forecast for Saturday, bringing conditions near seasonal averages for this time of year. Typical summer weather will continue across most areas, remaining relatively hot in the Badia and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate northwesterly winds.

On Sunday, standard summer weather will persist in most parts of the Kingdom, with hot conditions remaining in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, accompanied by moderate northwesterly winds that may gust at times.

Today's expected high and low temperatures are 35 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius in East Amman, 33 and 22 in West Amman, 30 and 19 in the northern highlands, 31 and 18 in the Sharah highlands, 39 and 23 in the Badia, and 34 and 22 in the plains.

Temperatures in the northern Jordan Valley will range between 41 and 26 degrees Celsius, 44 and 28 in the southern Jordan Valley, 43 and 27 at the Dead Sea, and 43 and 27 in the Gulf of Aqaba.
