Irbid, July 22 (Petra) -- Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Yousef Issawi on Wednesday sponsored a national celebration held by the Manara Youth Commission and the Manara Irbid Charity to mark national occasions.
The event, held at the Greater Irbid Municipality, was attended by Irbid Governor Firas Abu Al-Ghanam, along with officials, lawmakers, and local community leaders.
Speakers at the ceremony emphasized that national occasions serve as milestones for recalling the Kingdom's achievements and renewing the commitment to national progress. They highlighted that the royal vision prioritizes investing in human capital, placing special focus on youth as the country's primary wealth and the architects of its future through empowerment, supporting their initiative projects, and enhancing their role in development.
They underscored His Majesty King Abdullah II's commitment to staying connected with citizens, addressing their needs, and directing efforts toward projects that improve public services and support comprehensive development.
Abdullah Dhaifallah Al-Jbour, head of the Manara Youth Commission in Irbid, said the celebration reflects pride in the Kingdom's progress achieved under the Hashemite leadership and through the dedication of its people. He noted that such occasions reinforce national values and identity among younger generations.
On behalf of the local community, Al-Jbour extended warm congratulations to His Majesty King Abdullah II and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, expressing hopes for the continued security, stability, and prosperity of Jordan.
Speaking on behalf of Irbid residents, Mohammad Jaradat noted that eight decades of independence represent a journey of nation-building driven by Jordanian resolve, guided by Hashemite leadership, and protected by the sacrifices of the Jordan Armed Forces The Arab Army and security agencies.
Jaradat added that despite regional challenges, Jordan has preserved its security, stability, and role as a voice of wisdom and moderation. He reaffirmed the loyalty of Irbid's residents to His Majesty King Abdullah II and expressed pride in the armed forces' sacrifices in safeguarding the nation's achievements.
He also praised His Majesty's steadfast support for the Palestinian cause and the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, noting that these positions have fortified Jordan's regional and international standing. Additionally, Jaradat commended royal efforts to empower youth and women while advancing political, economic, and administrative modernization drives, highlighting HRH the Crown Prince as an inspiring model for Jordanian youth.
Rana Barahmeh, principal of the Umm Salama School, speaking on behalf of Manara residents, expressed appreciation for the Royal Court Chief's sponsorship of the event, stating that it reflects royal directives to maintain continuous engagement with communities across the Kingdom.
The ceremony, moderated by Mousa Al-Naawashi, featured poems and national musical performances celebrating the Kingdom and its Hashemite leadership.
At the conclusion of the event, organizers presented an honorary plaque to Issawi in appreciation of his patronage.
