Royal Court Chief attends Al-Azamat tribe celebrations of national occasions

Mafraq, July 2 (Petra) -- Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Thursday evening attended the Al-Azamat tribe's celebration of national holidays, held in the Umm al-Quttain area upon an invitation from Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Azamat.

The event was attended by Mafraq Governor Firas Abu Qaoud, alongside several tribal sheikhs, notables, official and social figures, and a large gathering of the Al-Azamat tribe.

Participants at the ceremony, which was moderated by academic Samara Saud Al-Azamat, stated that celebrating national occasions embodies pride in the achievements Jordan has made under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II. They noted it reflects a deep sense of belonging and loyalty to the Hashemite leadership and a commitment to continuing the country's development while safeguarding national security and stability.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Azamat said that the Al-Azamat tribe has historically been an active partner in the state-building process, standing firmly by the nation and its Hashemite leadership across all stages while remaining committed to the authentic values and customs of the Jordanian Badia. On behalf of the tribe, he extended his congratulations to His Majesty King Abdullah II and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on the national holidays, including Independence Day and the Accession to the Throne.

Member of Parliament Habes Al-Shabeeb affirmed that the tribe will remain faithful to the path of their ancestors who pledged allegiance to the Hashemites since the founding of the Jordanian state. He added that members of the tribe, like all Jordanian clans, have always been at the forefront of defending the homeland and its dignity.

Al-Shabeeb noted that under His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan will remain an oasis of security and stability, resilient against any attempts to undermine its achievements, thanks to the sacrifices of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and the security agencies.

Academic Mohammad Khalaf Al-Azamat said that Jordan has proven its ability to overcome various challenges by relying on the unity of its people, the steadfastness of its positions, and its clear vision for development and modernization. He noted that the Al-Azamat tribe takes pride in its role as a true partner in building the state, having provided martyrs in defense of the nation and contributed to various fields of national service.

Khalaf Dahr Al-Azamat, another figure from the tribe, discussed the national significance of these occasions, stating that the celebration serves as a renewed opportunity to affirm loyalty to Jordan and its leadership while instilling the values of good citizenship and the Jordanian national narrative of devotion and sincerity in younger generations. He added that maintaining internal cohesion and unity around the Hashemite leadership forms the fundamental pillar for confronting regional challenges.

Retired Colonel Hani Awad Al-Azamat said that the Hashemites have led Jordan since its establishment with a wise vision that helped build a modern state, strengthen its institutions, uphold justice and equality, and cement the rule of law and democratic participation. He added that true celebration translates into hard work, dedication to duty, and the preservation of national achievements.

Attorney Majd Shteiwi Al-Azamat pointed out that Jordan's achievements in empowering women and enhancing their role across various sectors, along with the focus on youth inclusion, reflect the Royal vision that investing in human capital is the foundation of progress. She reiterated that the Al-Azamat tribe continues to stand firmly behind the leadership in its ongoing modernization drive.

Fawaz Al-Braihi noted that national holidays present an occasion to recall a national journey rich in achievements spanning more than a quarter of a century under His Majesty King Abdullah II. He added that this period has seen significant steps toward political, economic, and administrative modernization, alongside defending Jordan's interests and boosting its regional and international standing despite regional crises.

The celebration featured national poems and traditional performances by the Rajef Folklore Troupe, which performed pieces celebrating Jordan, the Hashemite leadership, and the country's national milestones.
