Royal Initiatives Expand Health, Community Services in Muwaqqar

Amman, June 14 (Petra) -- Head of the Royal Hashemite Court and Chairperson of the Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of His Majesty's Initiatives, Yousef Issawi, on Sunday inaugurated and inspected a number of royal initiative projects in Muwaqqar District aimed at enhancing healthcare, community and youth services in line with Royal directives.

During the visit, Issawi inaugurated a primary healthcare center in the al-Zamilat area. Established under the royal initiatives, the center is designed to serve residents of the area and neighboring communities in Muwaqqar District.

Issawi reviewed the center's facilities and services. Built on an area of approximately 800 square meters, the facility includes general medicine, dental, gynecology, maternity and childhood clinics, in addition to a pharmacy, laboratory, radiology unit, ambulance and emergency services, and a medical records department. The center is expected to strengthen primary healthcare delivery and improve access to medical and treatment services for local residents.

Issawi also inaugurated a public park in the Nuqira area as part of the royal initiatives to provide recreational and public spaces for residents. The park features green areas, safe children's play units with sand and rubber flooring, walking paths, shaded seating areas and sanitary facilities.

Following the inaugurations, Issawi inspected the multipurpose hall project in the Umm Butma area, which is being implemented under the royal initiatives. He was briefed on the project's progress, with construction reaching 85% completion. The project is being developed on a 5,355-square-meter site and includes a building exceeding 360 square meters.

The hall is intended to serve as an integrated community facility capable of hosting social, cultural and national events and activities, helping meet local needs and promote community engagement.

Issawi also inspected a five-a-side football pitch project in the Rajm al-Shami area of Muwaqqar District, which aims at providing a sports venue for young people and encouraging their participation in activities that help develop their skills and talents.

In a press statement, Issawi said the projects inaugurated and inspected in Muwaqqar were implemented under Royal directives following His Majesty King Abdullah II's visits and meetings with residents of the area.

He noted that the projects are intended to strengthen essential services for citizens, including healthcare services and community facilities such as parks, sports grounds and multipurpose halls.

Issawi said His Majesty consistently directs the follow-up of citizens' needs and requests through the relevant authorities during visits and outreach meetings, adding that these and other royal initiative projects implemented across the Kingdom reflect the priorities of local communities and complement national plans and programs aimed at improving public services.
