Amman, June 23 (Petra) – The Royal Scientific Society (RSS) signed a series of memoranda of understanding with Jordanian universities and companies to strengthen cooperation in innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship across the Kingdom.
The partnerships will support entrepreneurs and startups through hackathons, advisory services, assistance with patents and trademarks, technical conformity services, and business incubation. They also aim to help turn promising ideas into viable and sustainable enterprises.
The agreements seek to develop the innovation and entrepreneurial skills of students and community members and prepare individuals seeking to establish small and medium-sized enterprises, helping improve incomes and advance economic development.
Signatories included representatives of the RSS, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Mutah University, Tafila Technical University, Al-Balqa Applied University, Zarqa University, and Dinarak.
The partnerships form part of the entrepreneurship and innovation component of the IRADA initiative, which promotes an entrepreneurial culture and provides a supportive environment for new businesses.
IRADA is a national government initiative established and owned by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation through its Development Initiatives Financing Unit. It is managed and implemented by the RSS and provides training, technical assistance, consulting, and entrepreneurship support through 27 centers across the Kingdom.
