Amman, March 2 (Petra) – Senate President Faisal Fayez said on Monday the chamber fully backs His Majesty King Abdullah II's assertion that Jordan will not allow its airspace to be violated or its territory to be a battleground, and that the Kingdom's security and safety is paramount.

"We all stand firmly and resolutely behind our wise Hashemite leadership as loyal and devoted soldiers," he said in remarks.

"His Majesty never compromised, not for a moment, with those who attempt to tamper with national security and stability," Fayez said, adding that national security is a red line that no one will be allowed to cross, and that Jordan will not accept any external agendas imposed on it.

"This is a clear message to all conflicting parties in the region: Jordan has not and will not allow anyone to infringe on its sovereignty and territorial integrity," he said.

Fayez said the King's stance is a source of pride for all Jordanians, who have faith in their leader, who was able to maintain the country's security, safety, and stability in a turbulent region around it.

The Senate head stressed the importance of a united internal front and to put Jordan's interests, security and stability as a top priority. He also cautioned against spreading false news, misinformation, and misleading videos that undermine the country, its social fabric, and national positions.

He also commended His Majesty's ongoing efforts at the regional and international levels to defuse regional tensions and thwart attempts to drag the region into a wider regional war with unpredictable and devastating consequences.

Fayez also expressed pride in the Jordan Armed forces and Security agencies in defending the country.
