Amman, Jan. 4 (Petra) - Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez on Sunday mourned former prime minister and former Senate member Ali Abu Al-Ragheb, who passed away after a life marked by public service.

Al-Fayez said that with the passing of the late Abu Al-Ragheb, Jordan has lost a prominent national and political figure who devoted his life to serving the country and its Hashemite leadership throughout his professional and parliamentary career.

He noted that the late statesman exerted every possible effort, in various public positions and during his tenure in the Senate, to advance the nation, contribute to its progress and prosperity, and uphold its dignity.

"We extend our sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased, his relatives and loved ones," Al-Fayez said.
