Amman, May 14 (Petra)-- Senate Speaker, Faisal Al-Fayez, and the accompanying delegation visited the Bahrain Constitutional Court during an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of the Speaker of the Bahraini Shura Council.
At the beginning of the visit, President of the Constitutional Court, Abdullah bin Hassan Al Buainain, welcomed the Jordanian delegation and praised the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, highlighting the continued growth and development of ties across various sectors under the leadership of the two countries.
The delegation was briefed on the Constitutional Court’s establishment in Bahrain in 2002 as part of the reform project led by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Al Buainain expressed his sincere wishes for Jordan’s continued security, stability, and prosperity under the leadership of King Abdullah II, according to a statement issued by the Jordanian Senate.
As part of the official visit, Al-Fayez and his delegation also toured the Bahrain Defence Force Military Museum, where Major General Mohammed Qatami Al Kaabi, Director of Media and Moral Guidance, briefed them on the museum’s various halls and sections showcasing historical military artifacts, artworks, and archival exhibits documenting Bahrain’s modern and contemporary military history.
The delegation also visited the Bahrain National Museum and the Charter Monument.
Separately, Al-Fayez met Bahraini social and community figures at the Al-Rumaihi family council in the Jaw area, upon the invitation of Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee of the Bahraini Shura Council, Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi.
The meeting was attended by Jordanian senators Salameh Hammad, Tawfiq Krishan, Sanad Naimat, Daifallah Al-Qallab, and Sultan Al-Jazi, in addition to Jordan’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Rami Wreikat.
Discussions focused on Jordanian-Bahraini relations and current regional developments. Al-Fayez stressed that ties between Jordan and Bahrain have always been strong, strategic, and deeply rooted, noting that both King Abdullah II and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa remain committed to strengthening cooperation across all fields.
He noted that the two leaders maintain ongoing coordination and communication on issues aimed at reinforcing bilateral relations and unifying the positions of both countries regarding Arab and Islamic causes, adding that the strength of these ties reflects a long-standing historical and brotherly relationship.
"We in Jordan believe that our destiny and security are shared with Bahrain," Al-Fayez said, reaffirming Jordan’s support for the security and stability of Bahrain and the Gulf states, while rejecting any external interference in their internal affairs.
He also underlined the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in ways that serve the shared interests of both countries and contribute to unified positions on regional issues of common concern.
Al-Fayez further emphasized that Jordan and Bahrain stand side by side in addressing regional challenges and promoting stability and peace in the region, describing the bilateral relationship as a deeply rooted strategic partnership built on solidarity and genuine cooperation.
He expressed hope for further cooperation in the coming period that would advance the common interests of both nations and peoples.
