Amman, August 2 (Petra) -- The Jordan Small and Medium Enterprises Fund (SME Fund Jo) announced Sunday the establishment of TriSmart Group following the merger of Jordanian technology companies TriSmart and Manafsoft, marking the launch of a specialized information technology investment platform within the fund's portfolio.

According to a fund statement, the merger is among the first steps in implementing its strategy to establish sector-focused investment platforms that consolidate complementary Jordanian companies into stronger entities with greater capacity for growth, regional expansion and competitiveness.

The fund, which holds a majority stake in both companies, led the merger process, developed the strategic vision for the new group, and supported the establishment of governance frameworks and institutional capabilities to ensure its long-term growth.

The new group combines TriSmart's expertise, built since its establishment in 2001, in digital infrastructure, data centers, cybersecurity systems and customer experience solutions, with Manafsoft's more than three decades of experience in software solutions for financial institutions and capital markets, including brokerage, shareholder management and asset management systems.

Together, the companies serve clients across the financial, government and private sectors and operate in Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Iraq and Libya. The merger is expected to create new employment opportunities, support local innovation and strengthen the technology sector's contribution to the national economy.

Chairperson of TriSmart Group Ayat Huneiti said the fund's investment approach is based on long-term partnerships with Jordanian companies, focusing on strengthening governance and building the institutional capacity needed to achieve sustainable growth.

She added that the fund's strategy targets investment in complementary companies operating in promising sectors, bringing them together into more competitive entities that enhance the value of its investment portfolio.

TriSmart Group CEO Abdallah Saken said the merger lays a stronger foundation for future growth by combining the expertise and market presence of both companies, enabling the group to offer a broader range of technology solutions while continuing to invest in Jordanian talent and develop products for regional markets.

Acting General Manager of Manafsoft Mohammed Faraj described the merger as a practical model of how Jordanian companies can strengthen their competitiveness by integrating their expertise under a unified strategic vision.

Established in 2018 at the initiative of the Central Bank of Jordan, the SME Fund Jo has a capital of JD125 million and is managed by Al Arabi Investment Group Co (AB Invest). The fund has invested in more than 25 Jordanian companies across five strategic sectors, supporting business growth through governance, institutional development and operational value creation while contributing to economic growth, job creation and the competitiveness of the national economy.
