SPAC launches initiative to boost public sector performance from HR data

Amman, Sept. 16 (Petra) -- The Service and Public Administration Commission (SPAC) on Wednesday hosted a workshop on developing improvement plans and capturing lessons learned, aiming to help government departments leverage the 2025 public sector human resources satisfaction survey to enhance work environments and institutional performance.

SPAC Secretary General Yasser Al-Nsour highlighted the importance of moving from measuring employee satisfaction to setting actionable priorities and impact-driven improvement plans. He noted that the commission has created a unified framework to analyze results and identify priority issues based on data and evidence.

Dima Jweihan, secretary general of the Jordanian National Commission for Women (JNCW), stressed the need to utilize data and standardized methodologies to address challenges, measure progress, and advance gender equality and women’s empowerment.

José Diez, representing the OECD/SIGMA joint initiative, presented international best practices on using HR surveys and diagnostic tools to improve public administration and organizational efficiency.

The workshop included a presentation on the methodology for drafting improvement plans, key outcomes, and systemic issues. Participants also held a panel discussion on aligning survey findings with public sector modernization goals to prepare state institutions for the second evaluation cycle scheduled for 2027.

The event was organized in cooperation with Expertise France under the Civil Service Support and Development Project, funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), with public sector HR and organizational development officials in attendance.
