Amman, August 2 (Petra) – Social Security Investment Fund (SSIF) said its performance in recent years reflects "efficiency" of this system, announcing its assets increased to approximately JD19.7 billion by the end of the first half of 2026, achieving a comprehensive income of JD903.8 million during the first 6 months of this year.

In a statement issued Sunday, the fund stated this growth reflects "success of the institutional" approach governing investment management and reinforces confidence in the fund's ability to achieve its strategic goals.

In 2025, the fund's assets increased by JD2.4 billion to reach JD18.6 billion, representing a growth rate of 15.2%, compared to 2024.

Meanwhile, comprehensive income through the end of 2025 reached approximately JD2.2 billion, compared to about JD1 billion in 2024, representing a growth rate of 118.5%.

The fund affirmed all its investment decisions are made within a "comprehensive" corporate governance system, in accordance with the provisions of the Social Security Law and applicable regulations and instructions.

The fund noted this process ensures that these decisions are based on "purely professional" and economic considerations, safeguarding rights of subscribers and retirees, and contributing to financial sustainability and growth of Social Security Corporation (SSC).

On its overall policy, the fund aims to achieve the "best" possible investment returns within acceptable risk levels, consistent with its nature as a long-term investor, and enabling the SSC to fulfill its future obligations to subscribers and retirees.

The fund stated its investment decisions are "professional and independent of government measures," as the Social Security Law clearly defines the powers of the SSC's Board of Directors.

In this context, the fund said it is in charge of approving the general investment policy and plan.
