Amman, July 4 (Petra) – Income and Sales Tax Department Director General Husam Abu Ali on Saturday stressed training and developing human resources to stay up-to-date with the latest international standards and best professional practices.

Investment in human resources helps to enhance institutional performance and improve the quality of tax work, he told a workshop organized by the Tax Department in cooperation with the Jordanian Association of Certified Public Accountants, titled "International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 18): Presentation and Disclosure in Financial Statements – Amendments and New Requirements." Abu Ali said his department continues to implement training programs in partnership with professional institutions out of the belief in the importance of continuous development and raising employee efficiency.

This enhances the quality of tax services and reinforces governance, transparency, and compliance with the best international standards, he pointed out.

The workshop brought together about 250 executive directors, heads of audit departments, and auditors.
