Temps to Gradually Rise as Cold Weather Persists Until Thursday

Amman, Jan. 5 (Petra) -- Temperatures on Monday will hover around their seasonal averages for this time of year, with cold conditions prevailing across most regions, while relatively mild weather is expected in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
High-level clouds will appear, and south-easterly winds will be moderate, occasionally becoming active.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, a slight rise in temperatures is forecast for Tuesday. The weather will remain relatively cold in most areas, while becoming relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High-level clouds will persist, with moderate south-easterly winds.
Temperatures are expected to continue rising on Wednesday and Thursday. The weather will be relatively cold across most regions and relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will be easterly and moderate in speed.
Maximum and minimum temperatures for today are forecast to range between 14 and 7 C in eastern Amman, and between 12 and 5 C in western Amman. In the northern highlands, temperatures will range from 10 to 5 C, and in the Sharah highlands from 12 to 4 C.
The Badia regions will record temperatures between 16 and 3 C, while the plains will see 15 to 5 C. In the northern Jordan Valley, temperatures will range from 21 to 9 C, and in the southern Jordan Valley from 24 to 15 C. The Dead Sea area will record temperatures between 23 and 13 C, while Aqaba will range between 25 and 14 C.
