Abu Dhabi, March 2 (Petra) – The General Civil Aviation Authority – UAE announced the start of operating exceptional flights at UAE airports to allow the departure of stranded passengers affected by the developments witnessed in the region.

The authority said in a statement on Monday that the exceptional flights would be announced according to schedules issued by airlines for affected passengers and the relevant destinations.

The authority urged passengers whose flights were affected not to go to airports until they are contacted and informed of the flight times and details by the airlines, in order to avoid crowding and ensure the smooth flow of procedures.

The United Arab Emirates had previously covered the accommodation costs of passengers stranded following the cancellation of flights and the partial suspension of air services at UAE airports.
