Abu Dhabi, May 7 (Petra)-- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday issued Decision No. (4) of 2026 establishing the National Committee for Documenting Acts of Iranian Aggression, International Crimes, and Resulting Damage, in a move reflecting the country's institutional approach to documenting violations in line with the highest legal and technical standards.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the decision stipulates that the committee will be chaired by the UAE Attorney General and tasked with documenting acts of Iranian aggression, international crimes, and the resulting damages affecting the state's territory, citizens, visitors, and residents, with the aim of creating a comprehensive national record based on credible evidence.

The committee includes representatives from a broad range of federal and local ministries and key entities, reflecting an integrated institutional framework that brings together security, judicial, technical, and economic authorities to enhance the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the documentation process.

The decision also authorizes the committee to seek assistance from national and international experts and specialists as deemed appropriate. It further requires the committee to comply with the provisions of the constitution and applicable laws, while adhering to internationally recognized standards for documenting international crimes.
