UAE suspends Abu Dhabi and Dubai stock markets amid regional developments

Abu Dhabi, March 2 (Petra) - The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) in the United Arab Emirates has suspended operations at the Abu Dhabi and Dubai markets for today and Tuesday, confirming it will continue to monitor regional developments.
The authority said in a statement on Monday that it is evaluating the situation and will take necessary additional measures in light of ongoing developments.
The SCA urged all stakeholders to follow official channels of the SCA, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, and the Dubai Financial Market for any subsequent updates.
For its part, the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the independent regulator of banking and financial services and markets in the Dubai International Financial Centre, announced the temporary closure of the Nasdaq Dubai exchange for Monday and Tuesday.
