UN: 55 Palestinians Displaced in West Bank, East Jerusalem Amid Settlers Violence

New York, May 8 (Petra)-- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Friday that 55 Palestinians have been displaced in Area C of the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem due to administrative demolitions, repeated settler attacks, and acts of intimidation.
OCHA stated that across the occupied Palestinian territories, residents are facing growing difficulties in maintaining their safety, securing livelihoods, and accessing essential services.
The office noted that violence, displacement, movement and access restrictions, as well as damage to critical infrastructure, are all contributing to worsening humanitarian needs.
"Although humanitarian partners continue to respond, insecurity, limited access, restrictions on key partners, and shortages of critical supplies are constraining the scale, timeliness, and sustainability of aid efforts," OCHA said, warning that vulnerable communities are being left with less protection and fewer coping mechanisms.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) documented 38 attacks targeting healthcare services across the West Bank since January. The attacks affected four health facilities and 33 ambulances, according to the organization.
