UN Human Rights Council to hold urgent session on Middle East war

New York, March 24 (Petra) – The 47 member states of the UN Human Rights Council agreed Tuesday to hold an urgent session on Wednesday to examine the impact of the war in the Middle East on human rights.
Council President Siddhartha Riza Suryodipuro said the session was called for "to discuss the war in the region." China and Cuba supported the call for the session, which the Council is scheduled to vote on later Friday.
