Vivo Energy Completes Acquisition of Total Energies Marketing Jordan

Amman, July 1 (Petra) -- Vivo Energy announced on Wednesday the completion of its acquisition of 100 percent of Total Energies Marketing Jordan, including a network of around 180 service stations, as well as its commercial fuel and lubricants operations.

Vivo Energy Chief Executive Officer Stan Mittelman said the deal marks a key milestone as the company expands beyond Africa into Jordan, a market he described as having strong potential and a respected workforce.

He said Vivo Energy, along with its retail brand "Engen", is built on strong values in customer service and community engagement, adding that the company looks forward to supporting continued growth in the Jordanian market.

Vivo Energy Jordan General Manager Adel Saadallah said he was proud to lead the company’s operations in Jordan following the acquisition, noting his long association with the group and its business model.

He said the announcement represents a change in ownership, while operations, employees, agency contracts and customer relations will continue without interruption. He added that priority will be given to ensuring a smooth transition and building on existing performance.

The acquisition marks the entry of the "Engen" retail brand into the Jordanian market. The brand is owned by Vivo Energy and currently operates in 13 markets.

Vivo Energy announced the deal in November 2025 and said regulatory approvals and pre-closing conditions had been completed. The company now operates across Africa and Jordan, with a network of around 4,200 service stations in 29 markets under the "Engen" and "Shell" brands, and exports lubricants to several African countries.

Its retail operations include fuel, lubricants, card services, convenience retail and food services, alongside non-fuel services. The company also supplies fuel, lubricants, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and chemicals to business customers across transport, aviation, construction, energy, logistics, agriculture and manufacturing sectors.

Vivo Energy said it continues to develop energy solutions aimed at enhancing sustainability. The company employs around 6,000 staff and has a fuel storage capacity exceeding 2.1 billion liters.
