Amman, Nov. 2 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Water and Irrigation, in coordination with relevant authorities, has detected an illegal water line in the Wadi As-Seir area of Amman, where two 4-inch branch lines were tapped to supply unauthorized water tankers for commercial sale.

In a statement released on Monday, the ministry also announced the discovery and backfilling of two illegal wells drilled on state treasury lands in the Al-Jafr area of the Maan governorate.

The ministry confirmed that all illegal connections were disconnected and official violation reports were filed to initiate legal proceedings against the perpetrators.
