Amman, May 4 (Petra) – The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with official bodies at the Al Karameh border crossing with Iraq, announced on Monday it extended operating hours to accommodate a significant increase in land shipping traffic.

The new schedule for departing trucks will be until midnight, while arriving trucks will run until 10:00 PM. Previously, truck crossing in both directions stopped at 5:00 PM.

The Ministry said the extension is due to rising cross-border shipping through the crossing and to ensure smoother transport operations between Jordan and Iraq.
