Youth minister inspects World Cup fan zones at historic Roman Theater

Amman, June 22 (Petra) -- Minister of Youth Raed Adwan, accompanied by Amman City Director Nabil Al-Jariri, inspected the readiness of public broadcasting venues at the ancient Roman Theater in downtown Amman on Monday ahead of the national football team's World Cup matches.

During the tour, Adwan reviewed the technical and logistical arrangements across multiple designated fan zones, which include the Roman Theater, the Odeon Theater, the Hashemite Plaza, and adjacent public squares. He emphasized the importance of finalizing all preparations to guarantee a seamless and safe experience for spectators.

The minister stressed the need to enhance service delivery, optimize technical infrastructure, and ensure a smooth flow for crowd entry. This will create an appropriate environment for fans to support the national team, known as the "Nashama," during its historic debut in the global tournament, he said.

Adwan was briefed by technical and organizational teams on the installed broadcasting equipment, crowd management strategies, and public services available at the venues.

The fan zones feature dedicated areas for hospitality services, designated family sections, and specialized media centers equipped to support both local and international journalists covering the public screenings.

The live broadcasting events are organized through a joint initiative between the Ministry of Youth, the Greater Amman Municipality, and several national partners. The project aims to enable Jordanian football fans to gather and support the national squad during its inaugural World Cup campaign.
