Youth Minister launches consultations in Jerash for 2026–2030 National Strategy

Jerash, May 12 (Petra)-- Minister of Youth Raed Adwan participated on Tuesday in a youth consultative session to draft the 2026–2030 National Youth Strategy. The event, organized by the Jerash Youth Directorate, took place at the Jerash Youth Hostel.

Jerash Governor Malik Khraisat and senior ministry and local officials attended the session. Adwan stated that these nationwide sessions provide a genuine platform for dialogue, ensuring that the voices and aspirations of young Jordanians are central to the planning and decision-making process.

The Minister explained that the new strategy is built upon the findings of a comprehensive National Youth Survey, conducted in collaboration with the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan and the Department of Statistics, targeting individuals aged 10 to 30.

Adwan noted that the ministry plans to hold over 1,000 dialogue sessions across schools, universities, youth centers, and civil society organizations. This extensive outreach is designed to produce a realistic, actionable strategy that shifts the focus from isolated activities to programs with sustainable long-term impact.

"Youth is a national priority that requires integrated efforts from all state institutions," the Minister emphasized, assuring participants that all proposals raised during these sessions would be documented to help shape the strategy’s core pillars.

The session included 50 young men and women from local youth centers and voluntary initiatives. They engaged in an interactive discussion covering various topics, including political and economic empowerment, training opportunities, and capacity-building programs.
