Washington, June 18 (Petra) -- Dream Day Foundation (DDF) announced the launch of a music album titled "Hope," produced by Syrian children at Zaatari refugee camp, celebrating World Refugee Day on June 20.

The album crowns a music program that ran for about two and a half years in Zaatari camp, led by the foundation in cooperation with Questscope and Playing For Change, aimed at funding and supporting music and arts initiatives for refugees worldwide, particularly in conflict and forced displacement settings.

Talking at the launching ceremony, DDF President Todd Krim said the "Hope" album serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of nurturing human potential and enabling it to flourish even in difficult environments, especially when the international community provides children and youth with opportunities to learn, create and succeed.

In turn, Questscope Jordan Director Maen Rayyan‏ said the partnership with Dream Day Foundation and Playing For Change has transformed music from "a simple educational activity into a source of healing, self-expression and hope." Zaatari refugee camp in eastern Jordan currently hosts 51,000 Syrian refugees, more than half of whom are children and young people under the age of 18.

The Music for Refugees program, run by the foundation, was launched in September 2023 with participation from English singer and artist Ellie Goulding.
