AHU president, German envoy discuss boosting academic ties

Ma'an, July 14 (Petra) - Atef Kharabsheh, President of Al-Hussein Bin Talal University (AHU), met on Tuesday with Bertram von Moltke, German Ambassador to Jordan, to explore expanding academic, research, and innovation partnerships with German institutions.

The two sides discussed opportunities for collaboration in higher education, scientific research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and academic exchange to improve the AHU's educational environment and deepen scientific ties.

Kharabsheh presented AHU's academic and research achievements, stressing the importance of building a long-term strategic partnership with German institutions to advance higher education, promote innovation, and support sustainable development in southern Jordan.

During the visit, von Moltke toured several campus facilities, including the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship; the Wildlife Museum at the Faculty of Science; and the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center at the Faculty of Nursing.

The ambassador praised the AHU's academic achievements and advanced training infrastructure, stating Germany's commitment to strengthening ties and expanding joint educational initiatives.
