Amman Field Hospital Begins Emergency, Intensive Care Operations

Amman, June 29 (Petra) -- Amman Field Hospital received its first patient on Monday following the commencement of services in its Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, marking a new phase in the Ministry of Health's plan to restore the hospital's operations.

According to a ministry statement, the launch of the two departments forms part of ongoing measures to reactivate the hospital, with the aim of supporting Prince Hamzah Hospital, expanding healthcare capacity, improving emergency response and enhancing the quality of services provided to patients.

The ministry said the reopening of the hospital is progressing in accordance with the approved operational plan, which is designed to expand healthcare services, improve operational efficiency and strengthen the capacity of the public health sector to meet patients' needs.

The hospital includes 70 beds in the Emergency Department, 44 beds in the Intensive Care Unit and 40 dialysis beds.
