Awqaf minister, JPA head discuss media cooperation and Hajj coverage

Amman, Aug. 2 (Petra) -- Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Mohammad Khalaileh met on Sunday with Jordan Press Association (JPA) President Tariq Al-Momani to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand partnerships in areas of mutual interest.

Khalaileh highlighted the importance of partnering with media outlets, praising the performance of the press delegation that accompanied the official Jordanian Hajj mission. He commended the journalists for their coverage of the Hajj season and the services provided to pilgrims.

Both sides reviewed the outcomes of their cooperation during the recent Hajj season, commending the quality of services delivered to Jordanian pilgrims and Palestinian pilgrims from the 1948 territories, as well as the joint efforts that contributed to the season's success.

The two officials also explored mechanisms to expand cooperation during upcoming seasons to bolster coordination between the ministry and media institutions and improve Hajj media coverage.

The meeting was attended on behalf of the ministry by Secretary-General Ismail Al-Khatba, Director General of the Hajj and Umrah Department Majdi Al-Btoush, and official spokesperson and head of the media unit Mohammad Al-Tawalbeh.

Representing the JPA board were council members Rashid Al-Assaf, Rashid Al-Rawashdeh, Rushdi Al-Qarala, Mohammad Al-Fuqaha, Ali Freihat, and Mowaffaq Kamal.
