Crown Prince reviews preparations for Jordan-EU Investment Conference

Amman, August 17 (Petra) - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II chaired a meeting on Monday at Al Husseiniya Palace to review preparations for the Jordan-European Union Investment Conference, scheduled to take place on 19 November at the Dead Sea.

During the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, the Crown Prince stressed the need to offer targeted investment opportunities focusing on vital sectors of national priority, underscoring the need to accelerate implementation of plans to enhance the investment environment and ensure business readiness.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of integrated public-private efforts to clear investment roadblocks and boost business collaboration between Jordan and the EU.

The Crown Prince urged government and relevant institutions to act immediately on conference recommendations, using clear metrics to track conference outcomes and measure their impact on the national economy.

His Royal Highness was briefed by Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh on preparations for the conference, its agenda, investment opportunities to be showcased during the event, and organizational arrangements.

The Jordan-EU Investment Conference marks a major step forward in Jordan-EU economic relations, turning cooperation into action by connecting European investors with Jordan’s private sector to drive high-quality investments and practical opportunities and projects.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Muhannad Shehadeh, Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu Soud, Minister of Transport and Minister of Labour Nidal Katamine, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain attended the meeting.
