Jerash festival to host 213 activities in over 15 locations-Director

Jerash, July 2 (Petra) - - Executive Director of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts, Yazan Khudair, announced 213 Jordanian, Arab, and international events will be held in more than 15 locations within the ancient city of Jerash.

Khudair's announcement came during a meeting, chaired by Dr. Malek Khraisat Jerash Governor on Thursday, to review the key features of the festival's new edition and the final preparations for its inauguration.

He also highlighted activities will also be held at Hippodrome theater, which is a "significant" addition to the festivalthat will host diverse cultural and folkloric performances, as well as a market for local crafts and products.

The discussions also addressed the level of organizational, service, and logistical readiness to ensure the event's success to benefit Jordan.

Talking at the meeting, Khraisat said the festival serves as a "cultural and national platform reflecting Jordan's identity and heritage." He highlighted the importance of integrated efforts at the official level to complete all preparations, in accordance with the "highest" organizational standards to provide a "comprehensive" environment that guarantees visitor comfort and the appropriate climate to hold events.

The meeting also addressed the progress of organizational and logistical preparations, including the readiness of event venues, the development of entrances, the completion of service facilities, and the implementation of an electronic ticketing system.

These measures aim to facilitate visitor flow and enhance the quality of services , ensuring the festival's launch on schedule and reinforcing its position as one of the most prominent cultural festivals in the region.
