Amman, Feb 18 (Petra) - Secretary-General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, met on Wednesday with the Vice President of the General Union of Voluntary Societies (GUVS) and President of the Capital Union, Barakat Barakat, to discuss strengthening cooperation and unifying efforts in charitable and humanitarian work.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the most prominent programs and initiatives implemented by the JHCO and the GUVS. They also discussed coordination mechanisms between charitable societies to expand the scope of services provided to target groups and enhance integration in the implementation of developmental and relief projects.

Al-Shibli emphasized the importance of effective partnerships with federations and charitable societies across various governorates to achieve the mission of humanitarian work and enhance its impact on society.

For his part, Barakat stressed the necessity of intensifying cooperation and exchanging expertise to improve the quality and sustainability of services, noting the importance of the strategic partnership with the JHCO.

He praised the JHCO’s pioneering role in coordinating relief and humanitarian efforts both within the Kingdom and abroad, reflecting the distinguished image of Jordanian charitable work. Barakat noted that the Capital Federation seeks to unify the efforts of charitable societies and enhance their institutional capacities through training programs and joint initiatives, ensuring support reaches the largest possible segment of deserving families while achieving sustainable developmental impact.
