Jordan Sends Tenth Humanitarian Aid Convoy to Lebanon

Amman, July 16 (Petra) – The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) dispatched its tenth humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon on Thursday, in cooperation with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, and international partners.

The convoy consists of 26 trucks carrying food, medical, and relief supplies as part of Jordan’s ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to Lebanon.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Al-Shibli said Jordan remains committed to supporting Lebanon during challenging circumstances by contributing to efforts aimed at easing the impact of difficult living conditions, assisting vulnerable groups, and supporting essential sectors.

He added that the organization continues to coordinate with national institutions and international partners to ensure that humanitarian assistance is delivered to beneficiaries according to priorities and needs identified on the ground.

With the arrival of the latest convoy, the total number of trucks sent by Jordan to Lebanon through ten aid shipments has reached 197 since the crisis in Lebanon resumed in March. The convoys have included food and medical supplies, relief materials, hygiene items, tents, and two mobile bakeries.

The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization also expressed its appreciation to the Syrian authorities for facilitating the transit of the convoy and previous humanitarian convoys heading to Lebanon.
