Amman, June 23 (Petra) - The Jordanian Football Association (JFA) unveiled the national team’s starting lineup at dawn on Tuesday ahead of their highly anticipated World Cup Group J showdown against Algeria. The Matchday 2 fixture is widely regarded as a pivotal, make-or-break moment for the Nashama as they hunt for a crucial result to fuel their knockout-stage ambitions.

Head coach tactical blueprints see Yazeed Abulaila retain his spot between the posts. Organizing the defensive backline ahead of him is team captain Ihsan Haddad, flanking a robust center-back pairing of Abdallah Nasib and Yazan Al-Arab, alongside Houssam Abu Dahab.

The midfield engine room will feature the dynamic quintet of Mohannad Abu Taha, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Noor Al-Rawabdeh, and Mahmoud Al-Mardi, all tasked with controlling the tempo and orchestrating transitions. Up front, Jordan unleashes its marquee attacking threat, with lethal forward Ali Olwan and talismanic winger Musa Al-Taamari leading the frontline assault.

Available on a deep substitutes bench are: Abdallah Al-Fakhouri, Noureddin Bani Attiah, Saad Al-Rousan, Salim Obeid, Mohammad Abu Al-Nadi, Mohammad Abu Ghoush, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Anas Badawi, Raja’i Ayed, Amer Jamous, Mohammad Al-Dawoud, Ibrahim Sadeh, Ali Al-Azaizeh, Mohammad "Sharara" Abu Zreik, and Oudeh Al-Fakhouri.

With tournament survival and historic qualification on the line, the Nashama enter the pitch determined to correct previous tactical missteps, maximize their attacking chemistry, and deliver a performance worthy of the global stage.
